Sellers should be warned! I sold several items via this auction house (porcelain and paintings). When I handed over the items and asked about the further procedure I was told that the items needed to be further examined and I would receive all the information by mail. What I received was a list with the items and some details (more or less a translation from English to Dutch of what I sent them before in an email when I asked whether they were interested in selling the items). I never received any form of valuation or advisory. For some paintings, previous valuation prices (by experts) were on the back of the frames. Nevertheless, they sold them without minimum prices and results were between 1% - 6% of previous estimations (excluding the antique frames). I was never informed about that I would not receive any form of valuation or about their plans to sell the items without minimum prices. Their website also offers English as a possible language, but I doubt they can do it; I only received an answer in Dutch when I asked about the incident. Consecutive emails remained unanswered and I received the money more than two months after the auction. It was the third time that I sold items through an auction house, but I have never experienced something like this. Regarding the ratings, I noticed now that good ratings are just by buyers.

I prefer to give a big ZERO !! This morning I visited the Sincere Auction House in Haarlem according to agreement. My antique items / paintings / Imari were labeled NIKS without looking. Unbelievable !! 2 so-called older (60-75 yrs) appraisers were unfriendly, rude and really very incapable. 1 has been working in the business for more than 50 years, hahahaha judges without looking that something is already broken, all plates are punctually cool. The person who helped us immediately plunges into your belongings and judges without really REALLY looking at everything and judging that it is worth nothing. Paintings in NEW, if I continue to inquire about this, I will not receive specific answers. He turns around, talks a little ... Very vague ... We were also gone again within 5 minutes !!! My grandfather was an antique dealer .... The gentlemen really don't know, my stuff / goods are not BARGAINS, but antiques .... I fully agree with the assessment by Tessa van Veen.

Remained unique and rarely easy to score your bargains here. It is always an experience to participate in the auction. Staff are very involved and are looking forward to the next auction in Haarlem. Rare in auction country
