Getting to the apartments means climbing a steep flight of stairs. But once you’ve conquered that little obstacle, you’ll find a beautifully decorated modern apartment. The large kitchen and spacious living and dining room complete the experience. The hosts are super friendly and helpful. In the direct neighborhood of the apartments is plenty of free parking space, although it can get a bit crowded during the day. At night, you’re mostly able to park right outside the front door. Besides the steep stairs, the only downside to the apartment is the _very_ small toilet. Even when you’re not very tall (to Dutch standards), it’s a challenge to sit down. All-in-all, a great place to stay I can absolutely recommend! Oh, and I almost forgot to mention the box-beds! Especially if you have younger kids, they’ll love them! Sorry I don’t have any pictures of it. :(

Although the owner/manager of the apartment was exceedingly helpful and communicative prior to our trip, we decided we could not stay at the Suites after checking in, for several reasons. The photographs that are on the website do not adequately show there is a large trash bin 'depot' in front of the entrance to the apartments, which includes several large trash receptacles. This is directly in front of a restaurant kitchen that is also on the ground floor of this building, which was not clearly indicated on the website. Additionally, the next door neighbor was actively completing renovations. So, although we arrived early in the morning on Saturday, there was significant noise from the kitchen below, glass being dumped into a trash bin on several occasions (which was also quite loud) and active construction noise directly next door, including power tools, starting around 8:00 am--not exactly a great start to our vacation. I understand the management can not control what the neighbors get up to on a weekend but the online description and photos need to be updated so that potential renters are at least aware of the kitchen directly below, the large area of garbage bins and all the potential noise associated with this. When standing in the apartment, the trash bins are very easily visible just below. The apartment itself was nice, although the toilet room was very small and tall people would not be able to sit on the toilet and close the door. The owner responded quickly to my concerns and did help us coordinate with another establishment down the street, which was very much appreciated, but we were asked to pay 35 Euros to apparently cover the reported costs of the lady she had let us in the first apartment, which we did (although we were later told by staff elsewhere that this should not have been requested). Essentially, all of this bother could have been avoided if the information on the website had been accurate. I would have also appreciated a heads up from the owner about the neighbor's construction project since she was apparently already aware of this situation. I would have never booked the place to begin with if all of this information had been disclosed up front and we could have ALL avoided a lot of trouble. If you don't mind these things, the apartment is nice, stylish, good value for money and in a good area.
