Brouwerij Troost

No complaints about the food - the menu sounded delicious - because we couldn’t get waited on to save our lives. We’re used to laid back service and were prepared to sit and enjoy the canal nearby and the scenery while we waited, but tables were mostly empty and busboys passed us by, waiters went in and out, and no one gave us a nod or acknowledgement that we existed. Not even drinks at the start. A wave of the hand resulted in the waitstaff turning away and going upstairs and inside. We gave up after 20 minutes and went up the street to a fabulous pizza place, so thanks for that, at least.

nice place! UPDATE: Hello, Owner, everything was OK and I need to mention how much I appreciated the waiters were wearing a mask. I sometimes give 5 stars to God :) and 4 stars to very, very, very nice places. In your particular case, the tram noise mattered. Keep up the good work!

Nice selection of beers at the Troost Brewery and good how the menu has suggestions of which dishes go well with them. Tried the New England IPA, the Pilsner and the Tropicana. All delivered on taste with the Tropicana being a nice sour fruit beer to finish on. Food was good too, Tacos made with chicken thighs were full of flavour and my partner's fish and chips was lovely with chunky pieces of cod and freshly made sauces.

Great place to have beers. It has always been a good place yet quite slow. I was happily surprised that during corona the service became a whole lot faster, we order beers and they were there within one minute, burgers within 5, against the 5 and 15 minutes respectively that they would normally take. Anyhow, one of the best places to visit in any of their locations and one of the best beers to taste in A'dam!

Local brewery offering a large option of beers. We tasted 3 beers and really enjoyed it (fan of one with honey!). You can order some food too. We decided to try the beer plater that comes with some Dutch speciality and it was delicious. They have a terrace outside and also inside the brewery. If you love discovering some local brewery, this is the place!
