Park Plaza Vondelpark

We had a very pleasant and comfortable stay, the hotel and rooms were clean and the place had a fresh, comforting smell. We also ate in the restaurant for dinner and breakfast and can't fault the service or quality in any way. The only thing was, and we appreciate the situation given the central location, is that parking is not included, so one must pay to park his or her car and it's not so cheap.

Best hotel in Vondel. #ProveItForYourself. Where you can highly relax and come back to yourself.... definitely recommended

Everything was as you would expect with any decent hotel. However, experience in the restaurant was a different story. Seemed to be a running theme amongst the, what i assume are managers, in the tweed jackets. Terrible attitude, demeanour and just overall presence. Ego central. Would have been treat with better customer service in Burger King. Food and other staff were great though.

This was the best hotel. The staff are very service minded. Breakfast is the best. This hotel is very welled designed. Everything from room, breakfast area, gym is thought out. Hotel is nearby Riksmuseum and Van Gogh. Next to a park.

We have stayed at this Hotel three times in total, both in its previous vision & the new rebooted hotel. This is one of the nicest places to stay in Amsterdam, made up of amazing rooms centred about a ‘Bird’ Theme. However, the staff are what really make your stay exceptional. They go above and beyond the call of duty, in our last visit the electrics shorted in our room & although this caused some issues with sleep that night, on our return the afternoon after, the electrics were back on & we continued to enjoy our stay. The rooms are small for a basic room, but perfectly sum up Dutch Interior design, giving you a lovely place to lay your head at the end of the day. If you prefer a larger room, then pay that little more and you will be let down & get that little more room to relax in. Placed right next to Vondelpark is also a massive bonus, as you can embrace the perfect summers days sitting in the park with the locals, as it’s far enough out that it’s now heaving with those from the Museum District. It’s location allows you to escape the busy city centre, or to embrace the madness and have easy access to everything. Breakfast offers a lot of choice, with a restaurant and bar serving enjoyable cocktails. If not renting a flat, this is the perfect home away from home, embraced by the family that is created through the staff being extraordinary.
