Café Lusthof

One of a few places around that serves food late (we got there near 11pm). Food is nice & reasonably priced. Portions are big.

Lovely, quite traditional Dutch bar a stone's throw from Museumplein. Mainly locals but pretty friendly. Some nice Dutch and Belgian beers.

I’ve been here once a few weeks ago for drinks and it was wonderful. Great atmosphere, service and beverages. It was so pleasant I decided to try brunch today with my family. We walked in and the lady who was working just looked at us and said: “No”. There were clearly tables available, but she was just in a bad mood or didn’t like families. I really have no idea why she reacted this way as she didn’t take the time to explain herself at all. We politely thanked her for her rude and inhospitable service and left. Ended up having a great brunch elsewhere. It’s a shame because this place is directly across the street from our home and I was already imagining us becoming regulars. Ah well!

Oh my goodness!!!!! Hands down the bestest tomato soup I've had in awhile! The atmosphere was qauint and a great view :)

Staff was friendly but service was slow. I wasn't even acknowledged as existing for a long while after I sat down inside. The toasted sandwiches and coffee were delicious and I'd go again if I'm not in a rush.
