What a relief to find FINALLY 1 after a long search for an anxiety dentist who takes me and my anxiety seriously. I had not been for years because of a nasty experience with a dentist in my youth. With serious problems I walked around and more than once I survived on painkillers to get through another period of toothache. When my toothache didn't go away by itself, I ended up on the site of John van 't Hooft. I made an appointment and went inside with nodding knees, clammy hands and enough reply. Do you recognize the comments as an anxiety patient? What a relief when I saw John and he first talked to me for 20 minutes about everything but my teeth. The stress slowly ebbed and there was a first bit of confidence. He said exactly what he was doing and even made me laugh! Yes, my mouth needed a lot of work but John never gave me a bad feeling or shame. After a photo, a treatment plan was set up and a large number of appointments followed. In the beginning with a pill to get a bit quieter and eventually I decided not to take it anymore. I just came back laughing from my first six-month check in years. Yes, I have a small hole, but with John as a dentist I am attacking this one. Dentist is not fun and exciting but it is a tension that I am now tackling together with John. Dear fear patient ... if you read this ... only go for that first encounter. Nothing happens other than looking at the mirror when you are comfortable enough for that. I laugh crying and trembling in the chair and had to take my father with me as an adult woman. If I can do it ... you can do it too!

After 20 years of fear for the dentist, thanks to the dentist I am rid of it, always friendly and patient, I never felt that I was too much and I was really a fear patient !! Two weeks before I had the appointment with the dentist I did not sleep and the closer the appointment came the panic attacks started and I just will not go pff terrible and now I go to the dentist with a nice and especially safe feeling. .. what a burden it falls on me. Thank you so much John & son🥰
