Lovely spot, great atmosphere and a playground, would recommend

Pretty rude staff. They served their mates before people who had already ordered and then stopped to chat for a few minutes before bothering to make our coffee. They give off an unpleasant 'we're too cool to be here' bs vibe. The guy around the corner in the van knocks the coffees out like a pro. I regret even trying this place.

The Vondelpark is my backyard so Vondeltuin is the place to go if you want casual seating, food, drinks and if the weather gods allow us, sunshine. There's cocktail bar that satisfies your mixed drinks desires. Vondeltuin has an outdoor terrace (quite huge) and a few seats inside the building. Keep in mind that you will not be served, you will have to get off of your butt to order at the bar, which is in my opinion, not a problem at all as I have never experienced queues and you need to get rid of the cocktail calories anyways. I am assuming that due to Covid19 there's no seating inside temporarily. Go check it out.

Lively place, great atmosphere. We only had breakfast.but the food was very tasty so I suspect the lunch and dinner will be just as good

Nice location in the park for sunny days. Self service for drinks most of the time which i dont mind, ordered a burger last year before the renovation and recalled it as being both a nice juicy burger and good value for the price. Ordered the same now and felt it was still ok but overpriced for the quality if i compare it to a couple similar places in the area or how they used to make them.
