Lovely rooms, nice staff. Easy access from highway. Fire doors in corridor really loud, you can hear from room. Otherwise it would be 5*

Excellent hotel, very friendly staff. Came here to celebrate my birthday, I mentioned this in passing to a receptionist while talking to her at check-in, then, when I got to my room, there were balloons in my room!! Awesome!! Later that night, at dinner, I accidentally ate something I was allergic/intolerant to, so I had to leave the restaurant to call my doctor to see what to do, after a conversation with her she tells me I should be alright, so I go to the elevator to go back to dinner. In the elevator, I meet the General Manager of the hotel! She was apparently worried about me! She brought me something to drink and came to check up on me. I ended up being alright, probably because I didn't eat enough to trigger an allergic reaction. The next day I went back to the restaurant and had a dessert (which I'm not allergic to.) They put sparklers on my ice cream since they knew it was my birthday! Awesomest birthday ever at Van Der Valk!! So big thanks to the General Manager for taking good care of me, housekeeping for the balloons, and waitresses for the awesome birthday dessert!!

Very nice hotel. Very friendly staff and helpful. Very nice ambience. The rooms are very nicely equipped. I can only recommend it.
