Camping 't Kopske

Very beautiful campsite but my experience there wasn't very good. Now to be fair I do not speak Dutch beyond being able to say good day, thank you and a few other words. I understand a little Dutch due to knowing a little German. Most Dutch people I mean are surprised I know that much lol On arrival we were very early and pulled up to wait for a decent hour. Having waited we were then ignored by the chap who turned out to be running things to the degree that I just assumed he was a visitor to the site himself. When we finally realised it was him and I identified myself (he had already wandered off several times at this point) he asked if it was us outside in the car park. He then told us that they don't have twin axle caravans on the site. Now this in and of itself wasn't the issue. Apparently it says this on their site I don't speak Dutch and didn't see it. That is my problem. No worries. What did annoy us was that they saw us, knew that we couldn't stay there but made no attempt to speak to us and let us know. Add that to the general level of ignorance shown and it doesn't leave the best impression. I deal with Dutch people all the time and they are on the whole very friendly but this guy was in my opinion just rude. I am sure that if you speak Dutch and have a single axle trailer it is a great site but I was glad to be out of there. We found a site not too far away and had a great Holiday despite this initial hiccup.

In itself a great campsite. I had to leave this campsite because I was alone here and I was not always present due to work. During a conversation it was indicated that my caravan with which I have been celebrating my holiday for years was too ugly for the camping site and that I would have enough money for another caravan that they considered more beautiful. This conclusion was reached after taking the time to find out where I work and what position I hold, in my view a special conclusion. As me and my partner asked difficult questions, they reacted very emotionally and threateningly, which we experienced as very unpleasant. This only because I was too little visible in their eyes. I had booked for a longer period of time but had to leave the campsite early. If I did not leave the campsite early, then the gentleman threatened to drag my caravan off the campsite and steal it on fire. Finally found another campsite in the area where I was very welcome.

Very friendly reception. Clean sanitary facilities. beautiful places on a field. And the sea close to a pancake house.
