Canadian War Cemetery

My uncle Colin Campbell was in the Essex Scotish. And is buried there. Thank you so much. For having such a beautiful place of rest.

This place tore me apart , I know many Canadians and other allies lost their lives, but to be here in this place readingthe tomb stones of the more than a thousand Canadian soldiers that rest here after giving their lives to help fight for the freedom of the people of the Netherlands. I was overcome with grief for their loss,and filled with pride for the ultimate sacrifice they made . I truly couldn’t stop crying . I emigrated with my family to Canada in 1958 when I was 4 yrs old . I’m proud to be Dutch and how they honour our Canadian war dead , and proud of our Canadian soldiers for the ultimate sacrifice they knowingly made. God bless you all , I will never forget .
