Went there during a very hot day, and the little ones still had a lot of fun. There is a lot of shade along the paths which made the stay very bearable. Beautiful animal enclosures where you can walk around by following the path. Also fun for the kids are the playgrounds.

The park itself is presented very nicely and diversely. Overall the biodiversity is a bit on the low side, especially considering the relatively expensive entrance fee. If you want to see elephants, crocodiles or tigers, better seek another zoo. Food is stereotypical Dutch deep fried cuisine. Overall a good weekend destination for anyone living in the vicinity. Anyone else is better off in Cologne or Düsseldorf.

Amazing zoo, very diverse and it is clear they put a lot of thinking and effort into the animal enclosures. the animals clearly seem at ease and have enough distraction and privacy.
