It is a University with remarkable work and doctoral thesis . It has outstanding doctorates and staff that impress in many scientific fields including computer science. Thanks for the hospitality.

The building is nice. Administratively the school is a complete mess. Parking is terrible, even as a student you have to pay.

This review relates to the IT Development course. The IT Development course spends 20 times as much time on documentation compared to the name "Development". The fun part, coding and programming, is something that is hardly taught at Zuyd. If you don't do anything about programming as a hobby, you still can't do anything at the end after getting your diploma. So if you come here to program, stay away from here. For example, Zuyd had a nice minor called "Cross-platform app development", where you naturally think that you are going to realize a mobile app and Zuyd teaches you many things to make this mobile app. Then of course you are out of luck because you are at Zuyd, and the subject is actually "Technical Architecture" in disguise. You literally get a week of lessons about cross-platform app development, and the rest is just about architecture. I come here to program, not type 500 page documents. Zuyd also makes more use of external teachers from other companies, which is "great". The first impression of this is "good, then I see how things should go in business". That way you get off to a good start, where you go through the project well and the external teacher tells you that what you are doing is good and does not have much negative feedback. All of a sudden you get a fail, because the teacher from Zuyd who checks the project says that everything is wrong. In this way you are again forced to do everything according to the guidelines from Zuyd, because if you do not do that, then it is insufficient. Then why would you use external teachers if they get it wrong anyway? Then you have an internship where you again get an external teacher from another company as "school counselor". You make documentation in which you follow the guidelines that you have learned from Zuyd, and then you will hear from this external school counselor that what you are doing is wrong. So according to external employees, what Zuyd does is largely wrong, and Zuyd says that what external employees are doing is wrong. Yet they still work together, while the whole thing is contradictory. TLDR; IT Development, more like IT Documentation. Zuyd and their external employees are constantly arguing.
