Horrible customer service, hotel closes unexpectedly and cancels my reservation but refuses to refund. Blames me as not booking a refundable or cancellable ticket even though I'm not cancelling the booking, hotels says they close because a government mandate which is a lie since hotels are allowed to stay open (but are not allowed to keep their food and beverage open). Trying to scam customers this way is conflicting in every way a hotel should be treating guests, for the reader of this message please read your rights as a consumer, hotels are acting unlawful this way and all information can be found on the European Consumer Center organization website. Times are difficult for everyone, not just hotel chains. This hotel won't see a new booking from me in the future. Update 19/12: The hotel did provide a full refund after an in-person visit to the hotel staff by my father and after sending a claim letter. If a hotel is trying to do the same to you, you can find an example letter by googling 'Hotel booking cancelled because of coronavirus? Get your money back! Sample letter'. You will find a sample letter based on the Dutch Civil Law provided by the European Consumer Center which is a consumer center financed by the European Union and with the help of the Dutch Ministry of Justice and Security. Know your rights!

Great hotel, located at on of the best spots in Maastricht. Had a great night of sleep and the breakfast was exactly enough (I'm not a big breakfaster). The nicest part is that all drinks are complimentary. The hangout place and garden are nice and the 'honesty' bar is great and, contrary to other hotels, not outrageously expensive. The staff is great and helpful, the interior is playful and the amenities are nice as well. Special thanks to your colleague Leilani for this stay! I will definitely come again soon!

I spent here 2 nights for work reasons. The hotel is very comfortable and newly furnished. The service at the reception is great and helpful for everything you need. In the morning the breakfast was served directly to the room by the staff; you just need to fill a form were you specify at what hour you prefer the breakfast and also the type (sweet or salty). The room was very warm (i stayed there in November and outside I was freezing) and the bed really comfortable. The only tiny problem was a smell of smoke in the bathroom.
