Its a church

Monumental church from the 15th century, with a slightly leaning tower, with its own detached sacristy building, and above all: with a turbulent history: reformation, storms and especially the Second World War have left their traces in the history of the church. But: it is still there, or rather: again. The restoration of the devastating war damage has been done nicely, the whole ensemble shows beautifully. Nice part of the city with a picturesque canal and park.

I would like to compliment the carillonneur of the Sint Maartenskerk. In this time of corona, the carillon on Saturday afternoon is a bright spot! Compliments for the choice of songs, I think there is something for everyone. I regularly wipe a tear, like today (silent Saturday) with a piece of music from Jesus Christ Superstar. Magnificent!

Every now and then I wonder about churches And ok here a very beautiful church, here and there marked by the subsurface Beautiful church that I can really enjoy, back to 150 years ago or longer Imagine it, extra dimension when visiting Wish all the users of this Church all the best
