Nice and fast pedestrian and bicycle ferry to Wamel. Check the website in advance for departure times. From April 1 to September 30. a summer schedule, less frequent in autumn and winter. At high tide (8.50m +) the ferry is also out of service. Nice view of the Waal, and relatively pricey compared to other springs on the Lek. And until further notice also here mouth masks. While the wind blows, the waves splash through endless lowlands.

The bicycle and pedestrian ferry from Tiel to Wamel vv. Very nice to go with it, a very friendly pontbaas with time for a chat, even when it's busy on the ferry. It is special that you can buy a return ticket and it is also special, you can pin it out, very easily if you have left your purse at home. I have not yet experienced that on other fonts. Really great !!

This spring is NOT permanently closed. Only another boat called Pomona is sailing. A nice foot-spring between Wamel and Tiel. An indispensable connection for pedestrians and cyclists. Without this connection, everyone is dependent on the Prince Willem-Alexander Bridge (Volksmond de Tolbrug). This would mean for everyone that there should be a lot of driving. The ferry is not expensive. A pedestrian pays around 1 Euro for a single journey. You are almost immediately in the center of Tiel. There is ample parking space on both the Wamel side and the Tiel side. Parking is free on the Wamel side.
