Good Ferry service from Wamel to Tiel.

Nice and fast pedestrian and bicycle ferry to Tiel. Check the website in advance for departure times. A summer schedule from 1 April to 30 September, less frequent in autumn and winter. The ferry is out of service at high tide (8.50 m +). Beautiful view of the busy Waal. Compared to other springs on the Lek relatively pricey. And until further notice also here mouth masks. While the wind blows, the waves splash high, the river flows through endless lowlands.

Nice ferry. Not expensive. Partially covered. Guard booths on both sides. Only for pedestrians and (mopeds) bicycles.

A nice foot-spring between Wamel and Tiel. An indispensable connection for pedestrians and cyclists. Without this connection, everyone is dependent on the Prince Willem-Alexander Bridge (Volksmond de Tolbrug). This would mean for everyone that there should be a lot of driving. The ferry is not expensive. A pedestrian pays around 1 Euro for a single journey. You are almost immediately in the center of Tiel. There is ample parking space on both the Wamel side and the Tiel side. Parking is free on the Wamel side.
