Stopped here for one night as part of a cycling holiday. Incredible location in the middle of the forest with many great walking and cycling trails in the area. We were lucky enough to be there during the heather bloom so on the day of our departure we woke up early and were able to walk a km or two from the hotel to a huge meadow full of heather which stretched on nearly to the horizon. The hotel itself feels a little old fashioned but not run down, we found it rather charming. Our room was fine for the price we paid for it, and came with the added bonus of a small outdoor seating area. Within the hotel there is a small pool, a restaurant and a downstairs bar which has darts, a pool table and a bowling alley. Staff were excellent. We didn't eat at the restaurant but had cake and coffee in the lounge before we left, which was very nice. Will probably stop by again in the future as it's cheap and the location would be hard to improve upon.

I made a reservation and paid for the stay. But when we arrived, they told us the reservation didn't came through. They would check it with the central management. I didn't hear anything back from them and thought about it my whole stay. Also the beds were on wheels and the room was very dusty. Woke up with a sore throat. Food was good as well as the environment

Restaurant: food was good, but portions very small. No bread with soup, and no tap water, all communicated through nice service though. Most of the group walked away still hungry, not a nice feeling for a family dinner, especially when you're staying at the hotel.

This 4 Star hotel is beautifull surrounded by forrest. Ideal for walking and that is why we are here. Fresh air and minimum people. The entrance and reception are ok. Not everything was clear how to handle and all facilities were closed because of the lockdown. But that's no problem. We booked this hotel a long time ago just for walking in the forrests. We got some take away and ate in the room The rooms are sufficient but simple. Not 4 stars. No tea/coffee facilities, no safe, no iron, no mini fridge. The bathroom is small and a bit outdated. The carpet was not vacuumed. The beds are comfortable the pillows a bit small but there is a spare in the closet. In the morning we were informed that because of the lockdown breakfast was selfservice take away and had to be eaten in the room. No problem. The food was various and sufficient but ham/cheese ect. Was not chilled and a bit dried out. The quality is not a 4 star but with discount and when the facillities like bowling, pool ect. are open, it sure is worth the stay.
