De Gasterij is a place where the elderly can come together to have a coffee and / or something to eat, or to play billiards, shuffleboard or cards. My mother-in-law has been coming here every Wednesday for the "Memory Palace" for several months now. People who are a bit forgetful or slightly demented can come here from 10 am to 3 pm. All kinds of fun activities are undertaken such as playing games, memory training, light gymnastics exercises. They also eat lunch together at lunchtime, cold or warm to your liking. Led by great, committed people. The group does not exceed 20 people. Praise this opportunity. Should have known much earlier that this daytime activity exists for people from Ridderkerk!
