The food was amazing, and the staff were friendly, professional and efficient. The menu offers customers the choice of three different small courses, the last of which arrives with potatoes; followed by their choice of dessert. I chose instead for the rib eye steak dinner... The generous portion of rib eye was far and away the most delicious piece of beef I have ever had, no exaggeration. The restaurant's decor contains elements of the rustic, but is overall quite sophisticated, and elegant. A few windows in the dining area look in at the still-in-operation (according to a limited schedule) linseed oil mill. There is a decent collection of toys for younger visitors, along a wall near the restrooms, so they're clearly prepared for families with children. As best I could tell, the entire restaurant and mill are also accessible to visitors with disabilities. I would highly recommend this restaurant for casual, family, formal, or romantic dining.

On Saturday afternoon we wanted to come here for lunch. We were there 20 minutes before opening time with good weather. The terrace was prepared. When we got out of the car we were already told that they were still closed. Fine, but a really hospitable restaurant nevertheless gives you a place anyway and serves your order from 12:00. So we left again and went for a ride. We were there too early and then suddenly people appeared to be sitting on the terrace ...? Attempt 2 went better, but the owner didn't seem to have his day. Little grumpy, angry look. Didn't look like he was really looking forward to it ... We didn't see any other waitresses during our lunch, even though there were bottles and glasses on the table that could be cleared. Lunch itself was fine. The bread may have been cut a little thicker, but it looked a bit soggy. Two stars for a great lunch, but the hospitality, smile and service could use a bit.
