November 2018 Peter de Vries of 'de Vries Cleaning Service' visited, From this moment it has become 1 big drama. We wanted to check whether it was possible to install a stove in our recently purchased house. Here he checked everything and assessed that everything had been approved to create a safe situation, after which he placed the stove. We were able to enjoy the stove for an hour, then the dog became restless and it turned out that the entire top floor was covered in smoke. We had to pull our daughter out of bed with an emergency, which afterwards had to take no longer than 15 minutes longer or the entire house had burned down (according to the inspector). It finally turned out that the chimney was so porous that a wood stove could never be connected here! Peter was supposed to come by the next day to check the damage, but he never visited. Final score: Everything had to be stripped in the bedrooms, we were not allowed to use the top floor for weeks, so we had to sleep in the living room. De Vries Cleaning Service initially recognized no liability for what had happened, so it took an excruciatingly long before action was taken from their side. Total damage item of ± 15,000 euros Because Daisy (the wife of ..) reported in mid-2019 that they were still installing the wood-burning stove 'before winter 2019' at their expense, we are after months of fighting agreed to the offer from their insurance (+7,000 euros). This is because making a new chimney etc. would cost around 5,000 euros, we took the other costs for granted ... we were done with it and wanted to close it. After this, nothing more was heard from them ... On Sept 5, 2020 we finally had a breakthrough that Peter de Vries came by (for the first time) to remove the chimney from the inside. When Peter was there nothing was discussed about 2 years ago, he said several times that the chimney was very bad ... It was agreed that he would come by on Saturday the following week, he did not visit that Saturday. Then again very difficult to reach by telephone (will not be answered and / or called back). Yesterday (October 1) Peter paid a visit to install the wood-burning stove. Arrived an hour later than agreed, but hey ... he is there. Everything has now been installed and is working, as far as it is now on for the 2nd day, so its already further than 2 years ago! After everything was completed, I spoke to Peter in a normal way about the incident and how it was possible that he could now see that the chimney was bad and not 2 years ago. His answer to this was that he could only see up to half of it (even though bricks fell out when he looked) When I said that I was sorry that he never made a statement as a company when it happened, I got the response that he "did not accept being pooped like that" and I "should be happy that I got a heater connection for 1,500 euros for free" After this he drove away angry (with full throttle) where he almost collided with a car that also just came around the corner. In short: DE VRIES CLEANING SERVICE - 0% solution-oriented - Hard to reach - Not customer oriented - Unreliable - Not acknowledging his mistakes (until he has no choice) - Do not keep agreements - Phone is no longer answered at a certain point (unless we called with a different number and occasionally with an anonymous number) - Whatsapp messages were no longer responded to, although they did come online. - Whatsapp phone calls were not recorded while online. !! DO NOT DO IT !! we found Peter through google and the reviews, that's why I'm posting my review ... a forewarned person counts as 2. It ultimately cost me more than 7,000 euros to get the stove working.

For the 2nd time appointment not fulfilled. We get a new stove this passed on well in advance made an appointment to sweep the chimney and just does not show up himself called his wife if he is still coming. If all is well she said. So do not get it a text message that he is out of range and cannot call, strange can send a message In the beginning he always kept his appointments, but the last 2 years no longer a pity. If he continues like this, he will lose all his old customers. he also came into my circle of acquaintances. but they are now also looking for someone else Unfortunately

Great experiences with this small but great company! Good communication, good work and good price. I think it is recommended for facade cleaning, solar panel cleaning, installing a flue and chimney sweeping.

The gutter may have been cleaned, but everything has not been left tidy. Windows and tiles very dirty. A reason for us to cancel the subscription.

Unfortunately bad experience. Last year de Vries swept our chimney, that was fine, nothing to criticize. In June this year we receive a letter and email that we are already scheduled with date and time. I hadn't asked for that, but fine, must be done anyway. Come home specially within the time frame, only nobody came. Called several times, called, emailed. Just no response! Also asked if a new appointment could be made. We just don't get a response, just a standard email that they are busy, but don't bother to respond. Too bad, we went to another chimney sweeper.
