Walking, viewing and strolling area: a let's say moist area, especially after rain, with reed beds, water, bushes, thicket, peat holes and peat bogs plus the bonus: bird-watching huts (but also ... insects; smear you). You often hear birds, and if you are patient you will see them. In the meantime enjoy silence, space, greenery. There are two beautiful walking routes available for this area, there is an app with which you can walk (or sail).

07-04-2019 A wonderful walking area in NP De Âlde Feanen, managed by It Fryske Gea. It Fryske Gea also organizes sailing, photo and walking excursions here. Many storks, geese and reed birds seen; also from the beautiful bird watching huts. The walks on a grass path are marked by red posts. You can park at the gas extraction station north of the village of Earnewâlde.

Surprising nature reserve. At first it seemed that there was not much to see. But that was not so bad. Seen many storks.
