This is other reason why you need to visit more than just Amsterdam when you come to the Netherlands. Just a fantastic location with warm Dutch service sitting amongst the locals. Love it!

Had dinner tonight at grand cafe de Brink, together with my wife. For dish and dessert were fine. My wife had pork tenderloin with mushroom sauce as a main course, myself had schnitzel with onion and bacon sauce. The mushrooms, onion and souk were hard to find. After that I complained I got fried onion and bacon. When I get the sauce at Aldi, I have the idea that it contains more mushrooms than here. Asked for the cook when paying. He looked at me indignantly and did not understand what I was talking about. That's how we always eat our sauce, he said. Then I don't think you're worthy of the name cook. If you are going to eat here, ask for onion, bacon and mushrooms separately for the sauce. Too bad it had to go like this.

Is not worthy of 5 stars. Little faded glory. Except the entrance. It is very beautiful.
