Grand cafe restaurant Bij5

The food was good but the waiting time between courses was really too long, unacceptable I must say. Fair to say that 25 Dec is probably one of the most busy days of the year but you should expect a restaurant anticipates to that especially when everyone was there under reservation and having a Xmas menu. The lounge personnel was very kind and even invited us to a coffee for free... they did their best but the food was simply not coming out of the kitchen, a pity that the moment of especial dinner was a bit ruined.

Very good service and delicious food!!

The food is always good, but there is a noticable difference in quality of both the food and the service between weekdays and during the weekends. The first time we visited was for my mother's birthday, on a weekday. The food was excellent and the service fast. Afterwards me and my younger brother were even allowed into the kitchen to make our own desert. The second time was on a Saturday. We had reserved a table so that wasn't an issue, but the service was noticably more hastened and the food wasn't as good. Overall it's a great location with excellent food and service. Just keep in mind it's better when it's quiet.
