The guide knows what he is talking about and can explain everything in detail. Coincidentally, my grandmother's brother helped liberate Axel in September 1944. He was in the White Brigade.

The three of us received a friendly welcome. The guide told us extensively about the enormous private collection. Very interesting to watch. Special about this collection is that it also tells about the Polish soldiers who fought bravely for the liberation of eastern Zeeland Flanders. A visit to Gdynia war museum is very worthwhile.

Very nice museum that shows the horrors of WWII. In my opinion a very large expanded private initiative with a beautiful, extensive and diverse collection of memorabilia. A number of jeeps themselves are exhibited here. I thought it was an impressive visit with a lot of information. Highly recommended. It is said that even a high Polish award was given to the initiator as a thank you for his great involvement in the story of the Polish preparation of the German occupation.

Mario has been collecting pieces from WW2 all his life. These can be admired in the museum near Axel. The museum exhibits Mario's private collection and runs entirely on volunteers. The barn in which the museum is housed was the only one in the neighborhood that was spared during shelling during the war. The building is therefore the perfect place for keeping such historical events alive. In addition to a large number of pieces within the walls, the museum also exhibits various war vehicles of more than 80 years old. Admission is free.
