Wonderful experience joining a friend who was looking for a wedding band. The owner is very knowledgeable about style and what looks good and on whom. Refreshingly to the point. She doesn't just want to sell you something, she wants to find the right thing for *you*--your style, what suits you, etc. My friend was extremely pleased with the band that was chosen.

Last year I bought a (beautiful) ring at Galerie Petillon. The ring was a bit too big. Besides the fact that the shrinking was not very warmly offered (even though I paid for it), it is still too big after two tries. So it seems to me that she has not handled this too skillfully. When I asked why there was no silver mark in the ring, the response was rather blunt that 'if I did not trust her sometimes I should go and get a mark in Gouda'. Again, beautiful ring, but I will not be coming back here.

Galerie Petillon has a wide choice of modern contemporary and antique jewelery. The owner, Mrs. Shah, takes the time for personal advice and is honest about what does and does not suit someone's figure and skin type. She herself designs beautiful necklaces, bracelets, rings and earrings in gold and silver with top quality stones. Her service is excellent, with adjustments and repairs. For those looking for something other than the well-known top brands, an absolute must.

Galerie Petillon is a beautiful and unique jewelery and antique shop in the heart of Utrecht at less than 100 meters from the Dom. On the ground floor, mrs. Shah high end jewels and impressive antique pieces in the basement. I really enjoy my visits to the gallery. Not only because of the beautiful jewelery and antiques, but also because of the professionalism of mrs. Shah and her fascinating explanation of the pieces she sells. Highly recommended!
