Van der Valk Hotel Deventer

Despite the corona rules, everything was well organized. The luxury breakfast service at € 3, -p.p. We find extra not in proportion to the total costs. If you don't do this you will get disposable cutlery, no plates and no glasses, no stir-fry eggs and salmon, and you will have to pick up breakfast yourself from the lobby. In corona-free time you pay € 16.50 p.p. and then you have the full range of breakfast. For regular customers this is a disappointment that costs more than it is now better to simply charge € 17.50 pp for everyone so that you also have less travel / movements in the elevators in corona time, breakfast will then be delivered to your room. it is also a pity if you are only allowed to look at the attractively decorated bar, but it is no different. 🥂 So definitely worth going back after corona time.

Unfortunately I cannot give it 5 stars. I hope this will be possible on the next visit. Unfortunately we arrived on the wrong day. It was a bit of chaos. Everything that could go wrong went wrong. Beyond that, it is a beautiful hotel. Location: Deventer is a beautiful location. There is plenty to see in the area and you can enjoy hiking. Hotel interior: beautiful macramé decoration. The bathrooms with wood also give a nice atmosphere. The bed is not very comfortable. We had 2 parts so you cannot really lie next to each other. The mattress kept shifting. Staff: very friendly and do everything they can to fix the mistakes.

VAN DER VALK HOTEL DEVENTER COMFORT PLUS ROOM In January 2021 we spent a night in the newly opened hotel van der valk Deventer. The hotel is located in a business park and is both easy to reach and to find by car. The hotel has free parking and plenty of space to park. The hotel looks very stylish from the outside and inside. We were neatly helped by the employees and they explained everything clearly to us. Despite the corona rules, breakfast was well organized and extensive. Pros: -Clean room and bathroom -Lovely beds (Swiss sense) -Spacious room -Bathroom with rain shower and separate bath -Air conditioning works well -Wc separate from the bathroom -Large flat screen TV (you can log in to your own Netflix) -Rubbish bin in the room and the bathroom -You don't need a key card to switch on the lighting -Click system cabinets so that the cabinets are nicely concealed Points of improvement: -I miss a night light next to the bed -Due to the corona rules we had to have breakfast in our room, the table in the room is very low so we could not sit very well. There was a desk, but only 1 person could sit at it. This is not so much of an improvement, but more of an inconvenience during this pandemic. All in all, we had a wonderful stay and we recommend everyone to stay here. The value for money of this hotel is well worth it. The style of the rooms reminded us of Hotel Jakarta Amsterdam and we really love that hotel. Our compliments to van der valk Deventer, it has become a beautiful hotel with high-quality rooms. I would give the hotel a 9 out of 10.

What a beautiful hotel. I was allowed to come and sleep there and that was wonderful. Great bed, beautiful spacious bathroom with bath and rain shower. Toilet was a separate room and that is really great I think. We got food in the room at the agreed time. Really nothing to criticize. Of course it is a pity that you cannot use the facilities, but we will do that next time.

As one of the first to sleep a night in this beautiful hotel. Unfortunately adjusted due to corona, but that did not spoil the fun. Everything was neatly arranged: dinner and breakfast was delicious. The room is beautiful. Wonderful Swisssense beds and bathroom very luxurious. The Dyson hairdryer was also great! We will be back for sure! Hopefully we can then enjoy the bar and wellness. And the beautiful city of Deventer. Bye!
