Situated right next to the shopping streets, the hotel building gives special feeling with high ceilings and beams. Combined with uncovered old brick walls, some parts show old stone tiles too. Then be prepared for a very creative kitchen. Taste were great, presentation were amusing, and the service was just lovely. Do not skip the 3-course breakfast. They were just superb. We are dully impressed.

Awful! The staff was rude and snobby. We did not feel welcome. They forgot half our order. Food was good but way overpriced and extremely small portions. It was truly laughable. More attention was paid to the inside guests than the guests on the outside terrace. The place has such potential but we were truly disappointed with the service. We hope that they make some adjustments as they have only been open for a few month’s. Hopefully they simply still need to learn.

As a birthday present for my husband I booked a package in this fantastic hotel restaurant. And I couldn't have come up with a better gift because everything was great! The room, the six-course dinner with wine arrangement, the reception, the service ... and to top it all off, a breakfast like we have never eaten anywhere. We feel absolutely pampered, and the beautiful city of Zutphen is added as a bonus! Thank you very much, Annemieke and Bert

Arrangement booked consisting of overnight stay, 4-course dinner and breakfast. A competitively priced recommendation! For the room size, a former monastery may not be really recommended, but for the food I would immediately become a monk. Room is on the tight side for such a luxury hotel. Well decorated. The food in the restaurant is fantastic and star-worthy. Delicious 4-course menu with various options to expand. Informal and very friendly service, but knowledgeable. Breakfast is also a big surprise, but you have to experience it on the spot!

When I had to cancel our stay by phone due to illness, they first (when I asked if that was possible) looked at a new date, but they turned out to be full for the next month. Understandably, no problem for us to come again next year, or to receive (part of) a credit. Then there was a consultation with the boss, and it turned out that we were not allowed to reschedule or cancel it, and simply had to pay the full price, including a 4-course dinner. This was all communicated quite bluntly. They said that it was my choice not to come, that it was difficult times (fully booked in that difficult time), nothing was offered of compensation or looked at a visit in the future. I was not wished for recovery either. I asked if I should come and stay sick, then they said: okay see you later. I was not asked if I had corona complaints. All very hospitable ... Of course we did not come and do not intend to ever go to the Broederenklooster again.
