Dear parents, After moving to Wognum we registered our children on the Speelwagen. Wrong decision ever. Very soon one teacher was replaced by another without any text or explanation. After that, cameras were placed in the classrooms, which goes beyond all privacy laws. The hygiene in the toilets reminds you of the back alleys of Amsterdam. My children have contracted bacterial infections several times due to the poor hygiene of this school. There is also a lot of bullying and fighting, but the school tolerates it. Children are harassed by teenagers from the area, when this is raised by pupils of the Speelwagen, it is completely ignored by the staff. Upon inquiry it appears that the school does not have a specific protocol in such threatening situations. Furthermore, the level of my children has dropped after a year of enrollment at De Speelwagen primary school. The teachers are not capable of assisting the children academically and the teaching material is not adequate or up to standard. There is little targeted guidance for the child as two different groups are brought together per class. My children are now housed in a new school in the area. It took a while to get them up to scratch, but now they are back on schedule. If you want to offer your child a good foundation, don't choose the Speelwagen.

A very good school that looks at the individual child. Every child is allowed and able to learn in his / her own way. Tailor-made education and guidance / where necessary. Pleasant atmosphere and good and personal contact with the teachers.
