The staff was very friendly. The room was clean and spacious. It is an old building and therefore it was a bit warm. We stayed over in July.
Dinner and breakfast were good. There is no terrace. However, when you walk a few minutes, you will find many terraces.
Overall, a nice hotel and a place where I would come again.

Really affordable hotel in the center of Gulpen. Not fancy but helps for a night. Breakfast was included and it was enjoyable.
The staff insisted I used my reservation during a nationwide negative travel advise relating to the corona-pandamic. I found this to be very inconsiderate, my reason for being in town had been cancelled, so I did not need an hotel any-more, also travelling (against the nation wide advise) increased the risk of spreading the disease.
Any attempt to negotiate a refund or reschedule the booking to another date where met with a firm 'not our problem', very disappointing.
Furthermore the Hotel has seen it's best days, it is a place to sleep but that is about it.
This place was beautiful! Especially for couples, young and old. It's a nice place to getaway and refocus your mind on each other and nature. Would definitely come again.
P.S. Try to get the suite :) (HUGE BALCONY!)
P.P.S. Bring bathrobes to chill after the hot tub ;)
