Nice place to see trees from all around the world. one of the biggest tree is the North America n mammoth tree, planted in 1853

Schovenhorst was once a jewel among the arboreata, that is a tree zoo. Schovenhorst was specialized in conifers. All trees are still there. Only commerce has turned it into a terrifying amusement park. It has a dominant main building, its only function may be a laboratory for experiments on slimy aliens. The main building has dark mirrored windows, the pyramid roof a crematorium chimney. The garden is unimaginative, with trays with indoor garden growth. The arboretum itself has steel plates in unexpected places and it is decorated with cemetery art. Much attention has been paid to make the whole look so unnatural, like a climbing pole for great apes.

De toren is helaas gesloten
De wandelroutes diverse kleuren geven zonder kaart helaas niet de lengte aan.
Nice brasserie, tasty sandwiches and soup. Recommended to take a break. Corona-proof and customer-friendly, including oat milk chocolate milk for our lactose intolerant children.
