Very remote location. Far from all stores and transport networks. Taxis are reluctant to access the site. Not a nice place to stay especially the cabin i stayed in. The cabin owner is a racist and was unashamed about it.

In the middle of nowhere so very peaceful. Vorden is right next to the site which is a beautiful little town.

When asked, in the morning before departure, whether there were still available camping spots, the answer was that I had to look at the site and make a reservation. The latter cost 9.50 Euro while we arrived the same day at 3 p.m. Incidentally, this had nothing to do with the crowds because when the campsite was half empty, reservations were still made for 9.50. The first corridor to the toilet learned that there was no toilet paper and no disinfectants in any room. The WIFI was poor and expensive according to a friendly gentleman at the reception who was only open half an hour a day. The two of us received one key for driving in and out of the campsite, shower and hot water for washing up. Clumsy! We had chosen a field where no CIA was present, but that was no objection. All in all, we were very pleased with our camping spot on a beautiful spacious camping field (numbers 88 to 92), we had a great meal in the restaurant, but were dissatisfied with the secondary facilities. To be clear, our first camping holiday was in 1970 and with a toilet roll to the toilet we had never experienced this century before.

I just went to have a look as I lived for a year in 2015, still a beautiful place and regularly think back to a great time
