A place to really feel free. The contact beforehand and the reception were very warm. We were supposed to stay for two nights but decided to book on arrival. It is small-scale and at the same time very complete, with tea house and super wifi (for the site) and cold drinks and wood for a fee. The public swimming pool is nearby and even free for camping guests the first time. The plumbing is well maintained and original (the outdoor shower is very nice!). I think the possibility to make fire is a big plus. And the surroundings: centrally located between four very special nature reserves, this is a great base for walkers and cyclists. We haven't left yet, but we'll definitely be back.

Camping FRAAI is an AMAZING place. A playground with slide and trampo for the children and the local swimming pool within walking distance. The Retro caravans and Pipowagens from Fraai attract other particularly beautiful camping equipment. In the evening a drink with everyone around the campfire and with a little luck guitar music. A tearoom where you can have breakfast delivered in the morning and a fridge that you can use but also with cold drinks to take away. Spacious places with the possibility to rent private sanitary facilities. The owners Miranda and Wim have thought about everything. Beautiful setting and a Chinese take out next door. Very relaxed. We enjoyed FRAAI! See you soon, see you at the campfire at Fraai!

The small-scale Camping Fraai in Hauwelerdijk with its spacious pitches and various options for private sanitary facilities is a must !!! Miranda and Wim who went to Friesland from the Randstad to set up this beautiful campsite know what people need to unwind. A pleasant atmosphere, lots of peace, fully catered breakfast, a tea house where you can use everything and cook yourself, sleeping accommodation in Pipowagen, Retro caravans, tent with bed .... Etc etc And all this in beautiful Friesland

A very nice campsite with enthusiastic owners. Spacious spaces around a field with trees on one side. In the middle a place for a campfire, which is occasionally lit by the owner. You can all sit around comfortably. You can also use fire pits for free. (Wood for sale at the campsite) In short: a nice campsite with a pleasant, relaxed atmosphere for a real holiday feeling. Recommended!

How beautiful is Camping Fraai? Wake up in the morning by a cheerful songbird concert. Enjoy a quiet breakfast in the sun in front of your tent. Immediately in the relax position from the very first moment. The pleasant greenery on and around the campsite. The croaking frogs in the lake with water lilies. The warm hospitality of Miranda and Wim (and the sugar bread on Sunday). The casual atmosphere and spacious pitches. Excellent and clean private bathroom in corona time. Great starting point for hikes, bike rides and further in the Frisian, Drenthe and Groningen country. And enjoy long summer evenings at the end of the day. Yes, we call that beautiful! We enjoyed!
