We had rented the plaggenhut deluxe. A nice small traditional house located on the campsite. It was clean and everything was working as advertised. He house was one of the six houses located on the small but cosy campsite. The owners are friendly and helpful. Worth a visit. PS when your there don't forget to buy and try the homemade honey!

The cottage was very attractive and nicely decorated. Everything looked fine and was neat and clean. It is furnished in a minimalist way, which is fine for a holiday home. The kitchen had basic necessities and on a 3 burner camping gas stove you can cook well during the holiday. It is fine to live without a TV and washing the dishes by hand is fun. The lack of an extractor hood is the reason we only cooked the first day and then went out for dinner every day. Especially with the heat outside and the lack of aeration (no wind), this was impossible. Sleeping in a box bed is super fun and the children enjoyed it. However, the mattresses were so bad that we bought air mattresses after the first night. The lack of comfortable seats or a couch made our backs very heavy and we were happy if we could sit on the bike or in the car. All in all, a great price for a minimalist holiday home where you can stay with 4 people. But we were happy that the holiday was over and that we can sit on the couch again.

Small campsite with 40 pitches, some of which are fixed. Pitches are spacious, some nicely sheltered by vegetation, unfortunately we had to stand on 2 different fields. Sanitary building is modern and is kept clean, but due to Corona restrictions accessible for max 4 people at the same time. That is tight when the campsite is full. Furthermore, the campsite is not exactly quiet. The campsite is bordered on one side by the main road from Ruinen to Dwingeloo, which is busier than expected. On the other side is a business building where parties were held several times until late at night. Owners are nice and hospitable and do their best, but I would like to be more present with a fully occupied campsite.
