It's an ok hotel. The rooms are tidy and it is well located nearby the beach and the city centre. It's very easy to reach with the public transport from the train station. The owner is nice and gave us nice tips about the surrounding area. Price wise it is ok - probably there are better deals around the city if you look a bit more in details.
Small freindly family run hotel close to the beach, and all the best Scheveningen has to offer
The old house has all its charm, very well located and near to the beach. The room could be perfect for a functional trip but here it is...Hair to be find in the bath, sink, and pillows. Bedsheet too little for the mattress and horrible fabric scratching a bit. Lock is joke, breakfast non existent. WiFi was not working, TV was broken.
Too bad given the potential of the place.

* other reviews speak of noisy people on the street. I didn't have that at all. Rather garbage trucks or passing construction site vehicles from the construction sites in the area.
- very small bathroom with shower curtain, the clamp bar fell off me once
- Toilet doesn't flush big business so well
- Furniture a bit older: one of the two bedside lamps did not work, the curtain had holes and small stains
- There were little white scales and tiny hairs on the bed when I checked in
- untidy reception area
- No help was offered to carry the suitcase to the second floor
The hotelier gave me the tip to take tram line 1 into town. However, this route was not possible due to construction work on the tracks. Thanks for the tip, but well ...
For reasons unknown to me, I couldn't sleep through the night.
