Just a handy place to park your bike and relatively easy to find. You are not necessarily safer with your bike than elsewhere, but you are not in anyone's way. The bicycle is the easiest way to get to the beach. Good approach routes and easy to park. You can be here and away again by bike.

Nice racks but I don't think your bike is much safer here than on a pole or fence elsewhere. The operator is mainly playing with his phone and it is not really protected.
