A long stay on the Eiland van Maurik during the weekend. Saturday we thought we would try the local Chinese Indian takeaway. Once there, it was run by Mandarins. Minus point as a real Cantonese. Anyway, the proof is in the pudding as they say. Two meals chosen Tenderloin in Oyster sauce and a combination menu Babi Pangang and Foeyong Hai with noodles. Can't go wrong with this classic. When you arrive at the bungalow, the table is set. We were all ready, but a big disappointment from everyone. Food was bland sauce very watery too bad. Satay sauce did not taste like anything, this was a red guideline through all dishes. No wonder the Chinese restaurant is disappearing. Let the Chinese Indian restaurant run by the real Cantonese. I know today's youngsters don't like nostalgia anymore, just like their parents and grandfather and grandmother. One thing has not changed, the portions are still generous.

Nice people and good food and the great thing is that on Mondays when everything is closed, the restaurant is open
