H. Barbarakerk

Special church, neo-gothic and yet without pillars. A special vault construction makes this possible. The church is open every day to pray and to light a candle. Also note the special stained glass windows. The entire history of Vreeswijk is depicted in it, together with the life of the patron, the holy barbara.

Everyone is welcome at the church, unless apparently they go on holiday. I ring the bell nicely, asking if I can take a picture inside the church of the beautiful stained glass, for my studies .. I get the blunt question: 'is that right now? I indicated that I also wanted to make an appointment, I got the answer: "I'm going on vacation tomorrow." Ready, end of conversation. Well, I'm going to look for another church. Even though I would have liked to have photographed the church in the beautiful village where I live .. This is a great pity.
