Beautiful church in the middle of the old center, with a rich history. There is much to say about the church and the people who have served there. The current pastor, for example, can do that very well, as we have experienced. There is also a lot to be said and seen about the financiers, the different groups within the church, the details! In short, definitely worth a visit!

Breukelen: namesake of today's New York borough of Brooklyn ... Today's church building, brick, late Gothic 15th century. Upper floor of the tower, simply neo-Romanesque. Typically Dutch: lots of old oil paintings, especially in the high choir. Special feature: in the place of an earlier rood screen facing the choir, there is now a pulpit and (above) an organ (Gideon Thomas Bätz 1787, parapet organ), behind which there are magnificent wall paintings. The church is also rented out as a venue.
