Disappointed as it was shut on the day when there was an astronomical event. Especially as it was listed as open on google maps and we drove there especially.

Definitely worth a visit, useful information about the area, fun (children's) activities and good catering. Recommended.

Visiting the observatory is informative and fun for young and old. You learn about our galaxy starting with an explanation about volcanism and then a visit to a dome with visualization of constellations (using computer animation). Finally a visit to the telescopes. Unfortunately it was too cloudy to see something when I was there, but definitely worth a visit.

Great Purple Gate they do have a giant cannon on the roof that can't go well

Attended a very interesting lecture by Stan Bentvelsen on particle physics. Beautiful location. Friendly volunteers. Recommended.
