The Command over the Festung of the Germans in World War II was conducted from the Schoonenberg park in Driehuis where the Regimental Regiment was located. These heavy-duty bunkers from the Festungskommandant with a wall thickness of 3 meters of reinforced concrete are still there. The trees that grow on top have been laid out by the Germans as camouflage

Nice quiet place. Singing birds, Blue damselfly along the banks, Large dragonflies above the water. Beautiful. A pity about those bunkers, but luckily they are hidden in the forest.
