Today my wallet was stolen in downtown Haarlem. To report the lost item/crime, we biked down to the police station south of the city. Since there was no one in that police station, the woman on the intercom told us to come to the station I am reviewing. Police officers in the center of town confirmed that this is where we should go. When we arrived, the woman at the desk told us that we could not report the stolen wallet to this station since we are not Dutch. Finally, we were able to get her to tell us where to go. She told us to go to the town hall, but told us that it was closing in ten minutes. Since we did not have much time, we asked if she would be able to call the town hall for us to ask if they had found the wallet. She said she could not. At this point, a police officer who had been laughing in the back and pointing at us during this conversation came out and yelled at my girlfriend that “we have already told you that we cannot help you!” and told us to leave the station. I cannot believe that police officers would be so rude and unwilling to help. What is this office there for?

Two of my friends' bicycles were joined by someone. The police literally didn't want to drive down the street to cut it. From my house you can literally see the police station .....

Phone number that is mentioned is not from the police, but from a 71 year old lady. Serious case if someone needs the police and is in a panic. Change this !!!
