Well worth a visit.
Rolled into town on our bicycles on our way to the ferry for Newcastle upon Tyne in the UK. Had a long lunch. Cappuccino and hot chocolate was great. We had vegan burger with salad and fries. Very good. Will go back if I am coming through town again. Super friendly service and they also helped us with some local knowledge.
Tried to eat there today, the waitress ignored us for 20 minutes. No hello, no drinks, no eye contact. She delivered 2 meals and a coffee to 2 tables and walked right by without a word. It was not busy so I have no idea what this person was overwhelmed with. Eventually we left. I have no idea how a person can be hired to serve food and be that incompetent. The owners are lovely but their staff needs better training.
Good. Maybe a little dry patties. Otherwise good. Not accepting Mastercard, or any creditcards at all. Strange?!?
