Carré is a special place in Amsterdam, you can feel the past, the nobility of the Dutch heritage. this theater hosts a multitude of events, concerts, performances, musicals and other performances. the place is magical and majestic. a sense of history invades you as soon as you enter. located along the Amstel you can stroll outside for a moment and imagine the beauty of the city. close to the center and other activities that Amsterdam has to offer.
Sure, it is not the most modern place and that may sometimes be an issue. Catching the right show however makes this beautiful classic theatre enrich the experience tenfold!
Treat the place with a little respect and enjoy the classic atmosphere of a true grit theatre, I dare you 😉
Watched Book of Mormon in the theater. Superb theater superb musical. Sound system was very good. Definitely recommend
They have a small restaurant in the ground floor with a short list of 3 courses to chose from. Priced an average of 20 for main and 12 for starters it’s pocket friendly for a quick diner before the show.
Employees are polite an friendly.
They handle covid rules well here. Sad to see they can't use 70% of the capacity.
Loved the world Circus show... More so it's how great the venue is! The Seating, light, sound, visuals, ... All really went well then clearly the bonus is the arena for the horses! The circle is so small yet the horses gallop like it's a circuit.
