Delicious squabbling and beautiful place, unfortunately not able to sit due to corona, but be patient!

The old Fort near Hoofddorp, part of the Defense Line of Amsterdam, has been given a new function after a very thorough renovation. One of them is a seafood restaurant. The Fort is freely accessible, but follow the rules and the paths. From the roof you have a nice view to the flour mill De Eersteeling and Het Oude Buurtje.

The place is beautiful. The service quite good. Much attention has been paid to the design, it radiates a lot. Beautiful murals and a cozy atmosphere. The only problem ... the ambiance doesn't match the food. The sole is great. But that can't go wrong either. The rest of the menu boils down to fish & chips. Nice and simple, but we expected more from a fish restaurant. At least a good sauce, everything is served with (a lot of) cocktail or hollandaise sauce, too bad. A simple vinaigrette or flavored oil can make it so much more delicious. In short, nice for once, but if the map remains of the same level, we will only come back again for the slip sole. Plus point for the home smoked salmon and eel from eveleens which are delicious!

The quality of the food as well as the service of the waiters was again exceptionally good !! Definitely recommended and will guarantee you an excellent culinary evening.

Beautiful and special location with attractive decor. Food was excellent. A must as far as we are concerned!
