Cafe Stopera

Nice little cafe/restaurant, currently closed due to the pandemic but has adapted by serving takeaway snacks including some tasty Poffertjes from their doorway. The owner was very friendly. Hope to come back in future when it is open fully.

Seriously, don't give your money to these people. We waited for 15 minutes without anyone coming to us or anything. Then we saw other customers coming in, sitting at the bar, and bring served immediately... So we supposed we had to order at the bar, so I went up and politely asked "I would like to order please". The one waitress then snapped at me angrily, "there are other to serve first!!!" and did not reply when I try to say that we arrived before. Then she took the order of someone at a table, who also had arrived after us... The funny thing is that she was kind of surprised when we left without ordering anything! There are so many kind professional in restaurants in Amsterdam, please don't bother with this one!

Great small cafe to take a load off. Friendly staff. Prompt service. Excellent coffee!!

Had a wonderful meal there, the owner was a lovely host and kept a tidy shop.
