Worst shopping experience, would absolutely not recommend. Back in January last year I returned faulty sneakers. They did not allow me for a refund and I was given a gift card instead. Since then, I went to the store so many times and checked online, and I am not finding anything I like. I was even told that I cannot use the gift card online. I asked again if I can have my money back. I was told Sidestep is offering refunds now but "hey, it's too late for you - you need to find a friend who wants to buy something and ask your money back from them". I don't see why I should be forcing friends or go ask random people to buy something in order to have my own money back. This is stealing.

In terms of customer service, helping you find your fit and making a sale: 5 stars. But this goes out to the lovely gentleman who also took the effort to ask me: "How was your day?" At first I didn't even realise he was talking to me...the rest was just pleasant chit chat, but wow, that small attention goes a long way!

No return policy. You’d think: who can possibly practice that in 2018? That’s impossible. Customer rights are protected. Well if you just thought that.. you’re wrong. The answer is - Sidestep. Buy something here and you will never see your money back. In a form of gif card - maybe. If you convince the staff to take them back. Because they don’t want anything back. I’m extremely disappointed, because they only order the worst /male/ sneakers, honestly. Like you’d see the worst designs there. This place just doesn’t make sense. There are better places to ship for sneakers in Amsterdam.
