Regullary lost my letters and packages with track & trace also. Post nl doesn't even started investigations. They just said sorry, we can do nothing. I never got any compensation from them and it all cost me hundreds of euros and so many time to spend in different offices to prove it and explain.

Device was broken, and in response to my question what to do with my package, I was told "on food". Nice and friendly ..
