I think this is one of the best places in the 20 km radius in terms of location. The view (especially during nice weather) is great. You can sit outside and admire beautiful sunset behind, while drinking a beer and looking at lake and small harbor. The only downside is the fact that together with my friend we were waiting like almost half an hour for someone to approach us and take the order for simple beer. But it might be they were too busy - I will definitely check it in near future. Missing bicycle spot where you could lock you bike into, but car parking is there. Staff is friendly, and surrounding area worth exploring. So, definitely recommend visiting this place.

Last Monday, September 21, we wanted my husband and our friends to have a nice lunch at Restaurant Romein on the water My husband and I had ordered a Nicoise salad with tuna. If only we had ordered something else, our afternoon would have been very different At the first bite I noticed that the tuna was no longer good and I immediately spit it out in the napkin, I looked at my husband and he also pulled a dirty face and he also had the same experience, just smelled the tuna and was immediately nauseated by the smell and the taste that I already had in my mouth from the first bite… It smelled the same as it tasted. I immediately walked in to the toilet to rinse my mouth, but didn't get the bad taste flushed with water and vomited. At the bar I had reported that the fish had gone bad. A little later I came back to the table and the waitress took the 2 plates away from the table and looked at us in surprise, I still indicated it is really not good! After a short while this lady came back with the message "you did return the food and my boss says that the fish is fine, he really knows about it and has 40 years of experience and really knows whether a fish is spoiled or not"... I asked her when this tuna was bought, they answer yesterday .. I said are you sure because yesterday it was Sunday… .ohh she stammered that it was Saturday, but it could also have been Friday. Again indicated that the fish was not good, and that the tuna must be fresh daily, but the waitress remained with her argument about what she had received… .. And you must also pay it because there is nothing wrong with it, was her answer! I said we will pay for everything else but not the rotten tuna that neither of us ate except the first bite. Go and get your boss and we can inform him that he should never have served this tuna from Friday or Saturday. Another hospitality colleague, a friend of our friends who also sat on the terrace and had heard everything later also indicated that he should never have served this, because bacteria end up in the fish that produce a toxin (poison) that can make you sick Everyone knows that tuna should be fresh daily and should certainly not be consumed longer than two ... After some time the owner showed up, not to apologize for what he had put on the table, but to embarrass himself to make a fuss on his own terrace. He was white hot and told my husband to eat his croquet he just ordered and then leave his patio immediately and never come back. The other guests, acquaintances and a number of friends who were also on the terrace, were watching in amazement and were given everything My husband ate his croquet and our friends walked to the till to pay. When my husband had a chat with friends who also had a chat on the terrace, the owner walked up to him again and yelled .. Didn't I tell you to leave this terrace? Then reinforcements came from the kitchen .. the cook also came running towards us with his hands on his hips, very intimidating, my husband finished his story with the friends and left What unprofessional and anti-social behavior.

Rented a sailboat for a day on the Kraaienbergse plassen and moored twice to have a drink here. In the morning for coffee / tea with apple pie and in the afternoon for a beer. Nice opportunity and friendly staff. At the marina in Linde. You can also have lunch there, but we did not. We brought food ourselves.
