The Spaubeekerbos is also very special for South Limburg standards; the sunken roads and old quarries lead you through a green, somewhat surreal landscape. In earlier times, there were many gravel pits in this area, but today many plant and animal species are observed. In the forest there is also a ruin of an open-air theater from the 1950s, which was used by the local population for musical and theater performances. Fortunately, the unique atmosphere of this beautiful piece of history has never been lost! The route can be followed via the blue posts. Source: Visit South Limburg
