Beautiful interpretation of the former ENCI quarry where it is clearly visible how limestone has been extracted for the production of cement over the past more than 100 years. The gigantic crater in the ground created by open-pit mining is the starting point for new nature. Under the guidance of nature monuments you can see nature taking its course in a controlled manner and start with the recapture of the terrain, reintroduction of plants and animals to this environment that is unique to the Netherlands.
